It appears the Toronto Blue Jays may be without another one of their biggest weapons for the remainder of the 2013 campaign.

Edwin Encarnacion, who is dealing with a wrist injury, is not yet ready to play and may not have enough time to return this season, according to manager John Gibbons.

Encarnacion hurt his wrist in Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Twins and was not in the team’s lineup on Sunday or Tuesday and will miss Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Just like last year, Encarnacion has been one of the Blue Jays’ best players, registering 36 home runs and 104 RBI in 139 games this season.
