The Toronto Blue Jays claimed outfielder Scott Cousins and right-handed pitcher Cory Wade off waivers on Wednesday.
Cousins played with the Miami Marlins in parts of the last three seasons, batting .183 with two home runs and nine RBIs in 175 at-bats. The 27-year-old from Reno, Nevada, spent most of 2012 with triple-A New Orleans.
Wade had a 1-1 record with a 6.46 ERA in 39 appearances with the New York Yankees this season. The 29-year-old from Indianapolis, Ind., native holds a career 11-6 record and a 3.65 ERA over four MLB seasons.
