The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to recall relief pitcher Chad Jenkins from triple-A Buffalo Wednesday, according to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi.
The Jays have gone to extra innings in six of their last seven outings and the bullpen has felt the effects. Steve Tolleson even took to the mound in Tuesday’s 11-7, 11-inning loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Jenkins is 1-1 with a 2.56 ERA in 21 appearances for the Blue Jays this season.
