Rookie pitcher Trent Thornton will return from the injured list and start for the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles.

According to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi, Aaron Sanchez will start Friday and Thomas Pannone on Sunday in Baltimore. Ryan Borucki was scheduled to start Saturday, but he was returned to the injured list on Thursday with the same elbow inflammation that kept him out of the lineup for the first half of the season.

Thornton, 25, was placed on the injured list on July 22 with elbow inflammation in his right arm. In 21 starts this season, he has a 3-7 record with a 5.45 ERA and 100 strikeouts.
