The Minnesota Twins have placed Josh Donaldson on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain, the team announced Friday night.

Donaldson hasn’t played since July 31, when he was removed from a game against Cleveland in the second inning.

After the game, the Twins listed Donaldson as day-to-day due to tightness in his right calf.

The 34-year-old third baseman signed a four-year, $92 million free agent deal with Minnesota this past off-season after posting a .900 OPS with 37 homers and 94 RBI over 155 regular-season games last season with Atlanta.
