Merry Clinchmas, Jays fans.
Blue Jays fans, who have been waiting 22 years for playoff baseball to return to Toronto, were giddy on social media. In fact, #ClinchDay was the No. 1 trending topic in Canada near the conclusion of the game and #ALEastChamps was the top trend in the country not long after the team officially clinched the division.
The Blue Jays lost the second game of the doubleheader, but that had no impact on how the team celebrated once they got back into the clubhouse.

It's harder to make the playoffs in MLB than in any of the other major sports leagues. So what the Jays did this season is truly remarkable.
