Twitter Reaction: Red Sox survive Yankees’ late rally to win ALDS

Steve Pearce made a great play at first for the final out in the ninth inning and the Boston Red Sox eliminated the New York Yankees to advance to the ALCS.

There really is nothing like October baseball. And Game 4 between the Red Sox and Yankees was as good as it gets.

Up 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Craig Kimbrel needed only three outs to secure the series win for the Red Sox. The Yankees scored twice and came so close to winning it all, but a spectacular play by former Toronto Blue Jay Steve Pearce at first base ended the game, and the Yankees’ season.
