Twitter Reaction: Umpire Angel Hernandez mocked for blown calls

It’s never a good sign to be an MLB umpire and have your name trending on Twitter.

But that’s exactly what happened to Angel Hernandez during Game 3 of the ALDS, whose series of miscalls at first base (and the challenges that overturned them) led to widespread mocking online.

Hernandez actually filed a lawsuit against MLB in July of 2017, alleging discrimination in being passed over for World Series assignments and promotions.

He didn’t do himself any favours on Monday, getting three of his calls overturned upon review.
