White Sox’s Garcia, Moncada leave game vs. Blue Jays after collision

Willy Garcia and Yoan Moncada of the Chicago White Sox have been taken out of Monday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays after colliding in the outfield.

Moncada has been diagnosed as day-to-day with a knee contusion, while Garcia has a head contusion and will be re-evaluated.

Both players collided after trying to grab a pop-up hit by Darwin Barney with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning. Garcia had the ball in his glove, but took a knee to the head from Moncada and dropped it, which allowed three runs to score.

Garcia later walked off under his own power and Moncada was carted off the field.
