The New York Yankees have acquired right-handed pitcher A.J. Cole from the Washington Nationals in exchange for cash considerations.
Cole has appeared in four games this season, making two starts, and has a 13.06 ERA in 10.1 innings.
The 26-year-old has a career 5.32 ERA in 110 innings with the Nationals over the past four seasons.
The Yankees designated righty David Hale for assignment to make room for Cole on the 40-man roster.
