The year started slowly for the Vancouver Canadians, the only minor league baseball team in Canada and the Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.

But the club turned around their summer and head to Oregon tomorrow, Saturday Sept. 9, to compete for the 2017 title of the Northwest League against the Eugene Emeralds.  Juan Nunez is slated to start for the C’s in their opening game.

The best-of-five series begins in the U.S. for the first two games before heading north for at least one game of home field advantage at Nat Bailey Stadium.
