Canada Basketball announced its roster for the senior women's national team Thursday ahead of the 2021 FIBA AmeriCup.
The tournament begins Friday through to June 19 in Puerto Rico. Canada has won two out of the last three AmeriCup competitions, and has found a place on the podium in eight of the last nine tournaments dating back to 2003.
A member of Group A, Canada will face the U.S. Virgin Islands on June 12, Brazil on June 13 and Columbia on June 15 in the group phase of the competition.
The top three teams from each Qualifying Tournament will advance to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 in Sydney, Australia.
As a result of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, Canada Basketball relocated their training camps to the Toronto Raptors' temporary training facilities in Tampa, Fla.
