One of Canada's best up-and-coming talents in women's basketball is taking her talents to Kentucky.
Savvy Swords, 17, announced her commitment to the University of Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team on Saturday.
The Sudbury, Ont., native is the younger sister of Michigan Wolverines star Syla Swords.
Savvy chose the Wildcats over UCLA, South Carolina, Michigan and Notre Dame.
The six-foot-one wing was the No. 9-ranked prospect in the 2026 recruiting class per On3.com.
Swords represented Canada at last year's U17 FIBA World Cup and averaged 16.3 points and six rebounds per game.
