After being forced off the court with an ankle injury during the WNBA’s 2020 season opener on Saturday, New York Liberty guard Kia Nurse has been listed as questionable for Wednesday’s meeting with the Dallas Wings.
The Hamilton, Ont., native suffered an ankle sprain during the Liberty’s opener against the Seattle Storm, logging just 9:31 before being carried off the floor early in the second quarter.
The Liberty wound up losing 87-71 in the season debut, which also served as the debut for highly-touted 2020 No. 1 draft pick Sabrina Ionescu.
Nurse, 24, averaged 13.7 points per game on 39.3 per cent shoot along with 2.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds with the Liberty last season.
