2019 NBA Draft Live Blog recap: Barrett embraces future with Knicks

RJ Barrett, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Brandon Clarke, and Mfiondu Kabengele were all selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, setting a record for most Canadians to go in round one.

The wait is over.

Zion Williamson will join the NBA ranks, revitalizing the New Orleans Pelicans.

College’s breakout star, point guard Ja Morant, will electrify the league, projected to be selected second overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, who traded veteran floor leader Mike Conley to Utah on Wednesday.

Canadian phenom R.J. Barrett is expected to be drafted third overall by the New York Knicks with the daunting task of breathing new life into the franchise.

And then … that’s when the real show begins. From surprise picks to a flurry of trades expected to go down, the NBA won’t look the same after Thursday night.
