Sportsnet.ca — Raptors star Chris Bosh took his appeal for fan noise directly to the source, posting a video message on YouTube.
Bosh told reporters this week that he and his teammates feed of the vocal support of the fans, remarks that drew some criticism for being ill-timed considering the team has won just six of its past 21 games.
On the video, Bosh starts out by clarifying his love for Toronto before urging fans to help make the Air Canada Centre the "hardest place to play" in the National Basketball Association.
Bosh said he and his teammates are trying to step up their game in advance of the playoffs, for which the Raptors have already qualified, and that they needed the fans to step up their game as well.
"Sometimes (the ACC) gets quiet; sometimes we play bad," Bosh says on the video. "But starting Friday night against the Nets, let’s make it crazy."
The 39-39 Raptors play 32-46 New Jersey Friday night and.are one game behind Philadelphia for sixth spot in the East.
