The Boston Celtics have recalled Canadian forward Kris Joseph from their Developmental League team.
Joseph, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two games with the Maine Red Claws. The Montreal native made his NBA debut with the Celtics recording one rebound and one assist in three minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 2.
Joseph was assigned to the Celtics farm team on Nov. 14.
The Celtics have injury issues at the forward position with both Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox questionable for Friday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The 23-year-old was drafted 51st overall by Boston in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Syracuse. In 37 games with the Orange in 2011-12, Joseph averaged 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
