The Boston Celtics have signed ex-Toronto Raptors guard Leandro Barbosa to a one-year contract and will serve as the backup point guard behind Rajan Rondo according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Barbosa is best known as the super-sub for the Phoenix Suns and was named Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2007.
The Brazilian was also a member of the Toronto Raptors for two seasons before being traded to the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline last year.
Over 10 NBA seasons, Barbosa has averaged 12.5 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game.
