Cavaliers set NBA Finals record with 86 first-half points vs. Warriors

The Cavaliers beat the Warriors 137-116 to spoil Golden State’s perfect postseason record and stay alive in the Finals, now down 3-1.

The Cleveland Cavaliers scored 86 points before halftime on Friday against the Golden State Warriors to set an NBA Finals record for most points in an opening half.

Cleveland entered Game 4 down 3-0 in the series, but came out the gate firing en route to building a 86-68 lead at the end of the second quarter.

Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving led the charge with 28 points, including 4-of-6 from beyond the three-point line, while LeBron James scored 22 points and Kevin Love chipped in 17.
