Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers told reporters Saturday that it’s possible Paul George could make his season debut on Monday against the Toronto Raptors.

George practised fully on Saturday after missing the Clippers’ first nine games due to off-season shoulder surgery. However, Rivers said he’s unsure of an exact plan when it comes to George’s Clippers debut.

Earlier this week, The Athletic‘s Sam Amick reported the Clippers were targeting a return for George on either Nov. 13 or 14, and Clippers reporter Jovan Buha tweeted on Saturday that’s still “the most likely outcome.”

George helped Kawhi Leonard shock the basketball world this summer when he joined the NBA Finals MVP in Los Angeles after Leonard signed with the Clippers. The Oklahoma City Thunder sent George to L.A. in exchange for guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, forward Danilo Gallinari and a record number of draft picks.

The Clippers (6-3) will face a short-handed Raptors team which lost point guard Kyle Lowry and forward Serge Ibaka indefinitely on Friday with thumb and ankle injuries, respectively.
