The Los Angeles Clippers and Blake Griffin have agreed on a five-year extension worth up to $95 million, according to latimes.com.
Although the contract is agreed upon, it can’t be officially signed until July 11.
Drafted first overall by the Clippers in 2009, Griffin averaged 20.7 points per game along with 10.9 rebounds per game last season.
The power forward averaged 19.1 PPG and 6.9 RPG in the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
It is also reported that that Clippers point guard Chris Paul continued to delay signing an extension. The reported offer to Paul was for $60 million for three years. Paul is scheduled to become a free agent in 2013.
