New Orleans Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis suffered a concussion Monday night after he collided with teammate Tyreke Evans late in the first half.

Davis and Evans were going for a defensive rebound with about a minute left in the second quarter when Evans unintentionally elbowed Davis, who fell to the floor as Houston picked up the loose ball. Play was stopped after the Rockets scored, and after trainers looked at him for a couple of minutes, Davis walked slowly to the locker room. The team announced in the third quarter that Davis had suffered the concussion.

Davis is ninth in the NBA in scoring (23.3 points per game) and rebounding (10.3) and second in blocks (2.47).

The Pelicans led 60-58 at the half.
