If you think you could stop the best player in the world in LeBron James, you better reach out to DeMar DeRozan.
The Toronto Raptors’ all-star shooting guard says he’s willing to pay $100 to anybody who can stop James after the Cavaliers marched their way to a 125-103 victory on Wednesday night. The win gave them a comfortable 2-0 series lead in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
“If you can find somebody to stop LeBron in these moments, I’ll give you $100,” said DeRozan after James scored 39 points on 71.4 per cent shooting, while also attempting 21 free throws in Game 2.
James has been on a tear throughout the post-season, guiding his Cleveland Cavaliers to a 6-0 record. With the series now heading to Toronto for Games 3 and 4, DeRozan and the Raptors are evidently trying to do all they can to get themselves back in contention and avoid a sweep.
Game 3 between the Raptors and the Cavaliers will tip-off Friday at 7 p.m. in the Air Canada Centre.
