Report: Duncan, Spurs close to new deal

To no one’s surprise, Tim Duncan will remain a Spur for a while.

Yahoo! Sports reports that San Antonio and Duncan have agreed to terms on a new three-year deal and the sides are working out the final details on the contract.

Duncan averaged 15.4 points and nine rebounds last season.

The Spurs will also retain a couple of more players from last season’s squad which finished first in the regular season. Restricted free agent Danny Green has agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal while Boris Diaw will re-up for two more years in a deal worth $9.2 million.
