Seeing a member of the Harlem Globetrotters sink an improbable shot is sort of like watching a young Roy Munson bowl a perfect strike. You’re not surprised when it happens, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive.
The most famous exhibition team on earth were in Toronto on Tuesday in advance of their annual Canadian tour, which tips-off this weekend in the city, and wasted no time putting some of their skills on display:
That right there is Globetrotters’ guard Bucket Blakes dropping a swish all the way from the catwalk of Maple Leaf Gardens, which opened just five years after the Globetrotters were founded in 1926, making this the travelling teams’ 90th year in existence.
It only took Blakes two tries to nail the trick shot.
