Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam can do many things on a basketball court.
His length and athleticism allows him to defend multiple positions and get up and down the court with ease, and his soft hands make him a deft passer and finisher at the rim.
One thing he’s yet to show he can really do, however, is shoot from outside with much consistency.
Until now, that is.
Over on player development trainer Rico Hines’ Instagram, you can see footage of Siakam working on what has so far been the weakest area of the 24-year-old’s game.
Check out some of the work he’s been putting in so far with embedded videos cut courtesy Reddit user 36DD.
In the two seasons Siakam has played in the league thus far, he’s only managed a 21.6 per cent three-point mark, taking only one per game. If the effort he puts in bears the fruit he’s hoping for, both those figures should go up.
Siakam is joined by new signee Greg Monroe as another Raptors big man working on his outside stroke. The new expectation for centres and power forwards league-wide.
