Grant fined $10K for throwing water bottle into stands

NEW YORK — Philadelphia 76ers forward Jerami Grant has been fined $10,000 for throwing a water bottle into the stands.

The fine was announced on Thursday by NBA executive Kiki VanDeWeghe.

Grant threw the water bottle into the stands with 8:44 remaining in Philadelphia’s 116-108 loss at the Washington Wizards on Monday.

Grant, a second-year player from Syracuse, is averaging 9.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. He has started in 34 of his 59 games played.
