LAS VEGAS — A defence lawyer for Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin got another month to try to resolve a Las Vegas criminal complaint stemming from a nightclub argument in October.
Lawyer Richard Schonfeld said Tuesday he hopes to work out a negotiation or what he called "some other disposition" to get the misdemeanour battery case dismissed.
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa set another court date March 24.
Griffin, 25, remains free without bail pending arraignment and didn’t appear Tuesday with Schonfeld in court.
The alleged victim, Daniel Schuman, alleges Griffin took his cellphone and slapped him after Schuman took a photo of Griffin and Clippers teammates Oct. 19 at Tao nightclub.
