MIAMI — Heat centre Zydrunas Ilgauskas missed Miami’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday with an infected foot.
Ilgauskas accidentally stepped on a nail at his home several days ago, getting punctured through his shoe. The injury was mild at first, and Ilgauskas played Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers without problems.
The infection worsened Friday and he was ruled out for Saturday.
The Heat hope he can be available Monday against San Antonio.
Ilgauskas is averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds this season for the Heat.
