Jared Sullinger is the newest member of the Toronto Raptors and, in a rare twist, was the one who broke his own signing.

The former Boston Celtic tweeted “We The North” on Monday afternoon and changed his account avatar to the Raptors logo.

The 24-year-old power forward also tweeted his thanks to the Boston faithful for “sticking with me through the ups and downs.”

After becoming an unrestricted free agent over the weekend when his 2016-17 qualifying offer was renounced by the Celtics, Raptors GM Masai Ujiri reportedly met with Sullinger Sunday to strike a one-year deal worth $6 million.

Drafted 21st overall by the Celtics out of Ohio State in 2012, Sullinger averaged 11.1 points per game on 43.9 per cent shooting while chipping in 7.7 rebounds a contest over four seasons.
