The greatest players always rise to the challenge of playing on the grandest of stages. LeBron James continues to prove that theory right.
While Monday night’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks was only a regular-season matchup 14 games into the season, it did have the intensity and drama of a playoff tilt. And despite the Knicks being a franchise in turmoil over the years, it’s tough to deny that Madison Square Garden is still considered the mecca of basketball.
So when James goes off for 23 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds to complete a huge fourth-quarter comeback for the Cavaliers, you can forgive the ‘King’ for celebrating his conquest.
On Tuesday morning, James took to his Instagram feed to remind Knicks fans of who was running the show at MSG.

Given the small dust-up between James and the Knicks’ Enes Kanter, this could also be interpreted as a jab at the Turkish forward as well as a shot at the Garden faithful.
LeBron and the Cavs don’t play the Knicks again until April 9 when Cleveland returns to MSG for the first game of an end-of-season home-and-home, a tasty matchup basketball fans will now have circled on their calendars.
