New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will win the scoring title for the 2012-13 NBA season.
He currently holds a 70-point advantage over Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant but neither forward is expected to be in their respective team’s lineups tonight.
Durant will narrowly miss joining Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players to have won the NBA scoring title for four consecutive seasons.
Anthony will finish the season having scored an average of 28.7 points per game, slightly over Durant’s 28.1 PPG average.
The Knicks forward did miss 14 games this season and will end the campaign trailing Durant in total points scored 2,280 to 1,920.
