Lonzo Ball of the Los Angeles Lakers has been named the NBA’s 2017 Vegas Summer League MVP.
Even though he won’t play in Monday’s final due to a calf strain, Ball helped propel his team to a five-game winning streak before his injury. The No. 2 overall pick in June becomes the first Laker to earn MVP honours at the Vegas tournament after averaging 16.3 points, 7.7 boards, 2.5 steals and a league-leading 9.3 assists.
