LeBron James, NFL owners speak out against Trump’s latest actions

United States President Donald Trump made waves Friday night and Saturday afternoon when he criticized NFL players for kneeling during the national anthem. Trump said if a player does not stand for the anthem he should be “fired.”

A number of NFL owners have since responded to Trump’s statement, making it very clear they support their players in this matter.

Trump stayed in the spotlight of the sports world when he “uninvited” Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry from the traditional NBA-champion White House visit.

LeBron James did not let Trump’s comments slide by unanswered, as the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the matter and stand by one of his NBA colleagues.

James later released a heartfelt video message to further elaborate on his comments. Watch the video below.
