If you’re thinking of ordering a LeBron James Los Angeles Lakers jersey, you’re not alone.
James will wear No. 23 with the Lakers, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, and early orders for his new jersey via online retailer Fanatics have been rather staggering.
“In the first three hours of sales, there was a 600 percent spike compared to how his new Cavaliers jersey sold on the site on the day when he returned to Cleveland from Miami in July 2014,” Rovell reported.
James’s agency, Klutch Sports Group, announced Sunday night that the superstar had agreed to a four-year, $154-million contract with the Lakers after spending the past four years with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rovell added that Los Angeles, New York, Oakland/San Francisco and Cleveland were the top markets for orders on LeBron’s Lakers jersey.
