‘LeBronto’ T-shirt trolls Raptors hard after brutal loss to Cavs

LeBron James finished with 43 points on the night as the Cleveland Cavaliers torched the Toronto Raptors 128-110 in Game 2 Thursday. James surpasses Michael Jordan for the most playoff games with 30+ points and 10+ assists with 16.

If you’re a Toronto Raptors fan, Thursday’s Game 2 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers was about as disheartening as it gets. If you’re a fan of Internet trolling, though, Game 2 was a goldmine after LeBron James had his way with a deer-in-the-headlights Raptors team that now must overcome an 0-2 series deficit if it hopes to reach the Eastern Conference final for the second time in three years.

James finished with 43 points, 14 assists and was two rebounds shy of a triple-double. The superstar was so dominant, in fact, that Mark Jones referred to Toronto as “LeBronto” when throwing to a commercial on the ESPN broadcast of the game — that quip resulted in a trending hashtag as well as a limited edition T-shirt that is sure to bother Raptors fans.

GV Art + Design, a creative boutique based in Cleveland specializing in original artwork and design, took the freshly coined “LeBronto” term and used it as inspiration for the new shirt.

It features an illustration of James perched on the edge of the CN Tower, mimicking Drake’s Views album cover, and the “W” from the Raptors’ team slogan “We The North” was replaced with an “H.”

Ouch.

“We thought we would have some fun with Mark Jones quote during the game last night,” a description of the shirt read. “It’s no secret LeBron owns the North so we wanted to do a limited edition one weekend only LeBronto T-shirt. We The North quickly became He The North.”

Before it was on a T-shirt, “LeBronto” was trending on Twitter during the game and there were some gems. Here’s a small sample…
