Kyle Lowry is expected to sit out the Toronto Raptors‘ second exhibition game against the Houston Rockets in Tokyo as he continues to rehab his surgically repaired left thumb, the team announced Wednesday.

The Raptors face the Rockets on Thursday in their second matchup of the NBA Japan Games after surging back for a 134-129 win on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old Lowry, who had an operation to repair damaged ligaments in his left thumb earlier this summer, also missed that game, the Raptors’ first of the pre-season.

Marc Gasol, meanwhile, should make his debut for Toronto after resting for its exhibition opener against Houston, according to The Athletic’s Blake Murphy.
