Before the NBA gets set to host its first awards show Monday night, it decided to announce the league’s All-Defensive and All-Rookie teams.

Of the players to receive praise for being amongst the league’s best defenders, Anthony Davis was the only player from a non-playoff team. Giannis Antetokounmpo is also the only Eastern Conference player to be selected.

Out of the rookies voted in, only Jaylen Brown and Malcolm Brogdon were on playoff teams in their first year in the NBA, while both conferences were equally represented with young and emerging talent.

The rest of the league’s awards will be announced tonight, including the naming of the 2016-17 MVP.
