The NBA and NBAPA have announced they have reached an agreement to change the time at which teams can officially begin negotiating with free agents.

Teams, players and agents will now be allowed to begin their negotiations at 6 p.m. ET on June 30.

The change shifts the start time to six hours earlier than what was allowed in years past, when negotiations were permitted starting at 12:01 a.m. ET on July 1.
