Per Sportrac, Barrett’s two-year deal will see him earn $16,071,720 in fully guaranteed money over the next two years — that’s an annual average salary of $8,035,860. The contract includes club options in both 2021 and 2022, with total earnings over four years set at just over $35.5 million.
Barrett, 19, spent last year at Duke where he starred alongside No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson on a stacked Blue Devils team. The Toronto native was the first of four Canadians selected in the first round of this year’s NBA draft and six in total — a record for Canada Basketball.
