Ibaka, VanVleet avoid serious injuries in Raptors win over Nets

Nick Nurse spoke with members of the media following the Raptors win against the Nets. He also provided an update on both Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka.

Despite the injury scares, Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse says neither Serge Ibaka or Fred VanVleet suffered anything serious in the team’s win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

VanVleet left the game toward the end of the fourth quarter as a precaution after appearing to hurt his hip. Ibaka seemed to have injured his ankle in the final frame as well.

The Raptors, who have been decimated by injuries for most of the season, don’t play again until Tuesday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers. Therefore, if Ibaka and VanVleet did pick up a minor knock, they have three days to recover.
