A blockbuster guard swap between the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies appears to be off the table.
Sportsnet’s Michael Grange is reporting that there is no traction between the two sides on a trade involving Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley.
Earlier this week, reports surfaced linking the Grizzlies and Raptors in a trade centred around Conley and Lowry, as well as big men Marc Gasol and Jonas Valanciunas. Grange reported that the Grizzlies were the team that initiated trade talks, and that those talks didn’t go far.
The Grizzlies are near the bottom of the standings in the West and have been reportedly shopping Conley, 31, and Gasol, 34, as they look to initiate a rebuild.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
