Harden becoming a star in his own right

OKLAHOMA CITY — As James Harden makes a name for himself in the NBA, people outside of the Oklahoma City Thunder organization are starting to get a glimpse inside his friendship with All-Star teammate Kevin Durant.

Harden and Durant have appeared in commercials together recently for the movie "Battleship" and Skullcandy headphones, carrying their camaraderie over onto the television screen.

Durant won the league’s scoring title for the third straight year this season, while Harden was the NBA’s top-scoring reserve and a leading candidate for Sixth Man of the Year. Combined with All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook, Harden and Durant make up the highest-scoring threesome in the league — better even than Miami All-Stars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
