Oladipo had initially announced he would be sitting out the resumption of the NBA season in Orlando as he continued to work on ramping up his game with a repaired quad tendon, which he had torn back in 2019.
Since then, he has reversed course and chosen to join his teammates in the NBA bubble, participating in all three of Indiana’s scrimmages. Evidently, he and the Pacers feel that he has progressed well enough that he is prepared for the intensity of the seeding games.
The Pacers, who presently own the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, will need Oladipo badly, after losing all-star Domantas Sabonis to a foot injury prior to the restart.
In 13 regular season games this season, Oladipo has averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists on 39.1 per cent shooting from the floor.
