AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The Detroit Pistons have signed guard John Lucas III for the remainder of the season.
Lucas had already signed two 10-day contracts with Detroit this season, giving the Pistons additional depth at point guard after Brandon Jennings went down with an Achilles injury. The 5-foot-11 Lucas has averaged 5.0 points, 3.3 assists and 12.2 minutes in eight games with Detroit.
The Pistons host the New York Knicks on Friday night.
