TORONTO — Toronto head coach Dwane Casey was presented his championship ring before the Raptors hosted the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
Casey was an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks last season when they beat the Miami Heat to win the NBA title.
Casey accepted the ring from Knicks centre Tyson Chandler, who also played on Dallas’ championship team last season.
Following the player introductions, the scoreboard played a video of Mavericks highlights and messages of congratulation to Casey from Dallas players Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry and Jason Kidd, and Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.
Chandler and Casey then walked to centre court and embraced. Casey was joined by his wife and children and presented with the diamond studded ring.
