Raptors’ Danny Green to participate in NBA three-point contest

Tim and Sid discuss rumours that Kyle Lowry has been apart trade discussions between the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies.

Toronto Raptors sharpshooter Danny Green will suit up in the 2019 three-point contest at NBA All-Star Weekend on Feb. 16.

Green has thrived in his first season with the Raptors, knocking down 42 per cent of his three-point attempts. He is one of only four players in the NBA currently ranked in the top 20 in both three-pointers made and three-point field goal percentage.

The 31-year-old was traded to Toronto in the deal that sent Kawhi Leonard north of the border in exchange for DeMar DeRozan.

Green becomes the fourth player in Raptors history to compete in the event, joining Walt Williams (1997), Jason Kapono (2008-09) and Kyle Lowry (2016-18). Kapono is the only Raptor to win the contest.

Rounding out the field are defending champion Devin Booker, as well as Seth Curry, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton and Kemba Walker, Joe Harris, Buddy Hield and Dirk Nowitzki.
