Toronto Raptors point guard Delon Wright will miss his team’s season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday with a left adductor strain.

Wright put up 8.6 points per game last season, his third in the NBA, on 45.6 per cent shooting.

The 26-year-old battled the adductor strain in pre-season, missing time there as well.

The Raptors are hosting the LeBron James-less Cavaliers in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference semifinal, won by Cleveland in four games.
