Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet and shooting guard C.J. Miles have been ruled out against the Washington Wizards according to Sportsnet’s Eric Smith.

VanVleet, 24, was questionable heading into Sunday’s matinee against the Wizards with a left thigh contusion. He is averaging career-bests of 10.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 39 games this season.

Miles, 31, is dealing with right hip soreness and has a decreased role in the rotation with Norman Powell getting back on track. Miles is shooting 27.3 per cent from three this year and a career-low 30.1 per cent overall from the field this season.

Patrick McCaw will also be active for the first time since being officially signed on Thursday.
