Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet is doubtful to play on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets due to left thumb soreness, the team has announced.
VanVleet, 24, is averaging 10.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists has appeared in 51 games, mostly off the bench, for the Raptors this season.
With Delon Wright being traded last week, rookie point guard Jordan Loyd could see some bench minutes in place of VanVleet. In seven games this season, the 25-year-old Loyd is averaging 2.3 points and 0.3 assists.
